Dr. Bill Rivers Joins OAVH Staff
Ocean Ave. Veterinary Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. Bill Rivers who rejoins our staff on October 1st. Dr. Rivers was a member of the OAVH staff from 1985-1989 until he left to enter a residency program in Veterinary Radiology at the University of Minnesota. Upon completion of the clinical residency program, Dr. Rivers became an Instructor and Staff Radiologist at U of M Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He received his Ph.D. in 1995 and became board certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 1996. Dr. Rivers was then invited to Purdue University as visiting professor and instructor in radiology. Dr. Rivers returned to private practice in Dallas, Texas in 1997. However, the siren call of the Golden State was too great and brings Dr. Rivers and his wife back to San Francisco and OAVH.
We are very excited about having a doctor of Dr. Rivers extensive abilities on our staff. In addition to providing primary animal care he will also be available for routine and special radiographic and ultrasound procedures. Welcome home Dr. Rivers!
